Installation of cooling trains in existing rolling mills
In the 1980ies, SKET - jointly with the HSE company in Hennigsdorf (Germany) - developed cooling processes in rolling mills. The cooling process for steel bar rolling was offered by HSE under the Thermex® tradename. SKET offered the cooling process for rod at product speeds of up to 100 m/s under the name of Thermocoil.
MWE, using the Thermocoil process and the APROCS control system for rod cooling lines, have forward-looking processes adapted to achieve cutting-edge product grades in rod mills.
Steel bar cooling trains are exclusively supplied while co-operating with HSE and employing the Thermex® process.
